Reply:Thanks Robert. I know the last part of that one was for me….LOL.

:)

Well, based on what's been said, these apparent bottom-feeders are clearly (IMAHO) using the telephone with the intent to harass people into paying a debt (a debt they may not even owe)…to me, I'd say that's precisely the type of activity the communications act was intended to deal with.

I wonder if anyone knows when/if such activity by anyone (a company, an ind

Can CA Collect on TL that OC has Charged Off ? [midland]

Providian has two Acccount, not even me, but it has not charged it. Midland is now trying to collect on them, they can do this?Reply:Of course they can, that's exactly how the collection/ junk debt buying game is played.

If they are NOT yours, then you need to send Midland a validation demand letter and make them prove it IS yours. If you've been the victim of ID theft, then you need to make sure you state that and you also should dispute the tradelines with the credit bu

Getting a CA off your report [credit bureas] [thanks for your time]

I delete a lot on this board for one or it is not better than not to ask to see pay. I have an old lease, which is in collections. They sent me a letter settlement and I want to pay it. When I called the lady she said to delete Flip, and if I pay to write the credit bureas and they will delete it. Will this work? What happens if I only pay for care for them and delete? How long will it stay there? Or I can write and get it off? Thank you for your time.Reply:ok sounds good. I'll DV it and se

I just received a letter from a jdb repod for a Jeep that I co-signed for (long story just say I learned not always co-sign for a friend, no matter how long it together). my question is that az on signing the contract and I was in primary co-signer was here in Cali. the statute of limitations applies, and how should I dv? Car Repo and Summons to Court [car repo] [april april]

Reply:It never went to court because once our lawyer informed them that they had lied (stating that they didn't have the car we did). They canceled the law suit and signed an agreement that they could not ever sue us and we couldn't later sue them.

guy – I liked your story and was just interested in knowing if you ever got the money back that you had paid for the car, or did they give you a new car, or did you still have to pay for the car?
